Kasuri leaves for China

ISLAMABAD, June 19: Foreign Minister Khurshid M. Kasuri who left for China on Friday evening to participate in the Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) in Qingdao, will meet his Indian counterpart K. Natwar Singh there for the first time.

Kanwar Natwar Singh has invited Foreign Minister Kasuri to a luncheon meeting.

This will be the first meeting between the two foreign ministers since the change of government in India.

Mr Kasuri will meet his Chinese counterpart Li Zhaoxing on Monday in Qingado, on the sideline of the Asian Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) meeting, an official of China's foreign ministry said on Friday.

He will be arriving in Qingado on Sunday. The meeting will be attended by 22 foreign ministers who will issue a joint declaration on Asian cooperation and a document on energy cooperation. ACD, founded in June 2002, is the only official dialogue and cooperation mechanism open to entire Asia.-APP
