QUETTA, May 15: An Anti-Terrorism Court of Quetta on Saturday awarded death sentence and a fine to three men in a murder case.

Faizullah, Obaidullah and Muhammad Azam were found guilty of murder and the court awarded them death sentence by court judge Mohammad Hashim Kakar after the prosecution proved beyond doubt that the trio had killed Haji Muhammad Naseem and Juma Khan on Jan 23, 2004, in Chaman.

According to prosecution the convicts, along with Muhammad Akbar, who is still untraced, entered the shop of a money changer and attempted to snatch the cash. On resistance the robbers killed Nassem and Juma.

The court also convicted Daulat Khan, a police constable, and a man identified as Inayatullah to four years' imprisonment each for playing the role of informers to the dacoits.
