DADU, April 10: Sindh National Party chief Amir Bux Bhambhro has opposed the formation of new districts in Sindh, arguing that the move is aimed at pleasing some feudal lords and tribal chieftains.
Speaking at a press conference here on Friday, he said that economy of Sindh depended on the agriculture sector but it was not being supported by the government
He said that on the one hand Sindh had been denied its due share in financial resources and, on the other, industrial and agricultural sectors of the province had been destroyed due to wrong policies of the federal government.
Me Bhambhro said that Sindh was facing many hardships due to tribal system.
WAPDA WORKERS: Pakistan Wapda Hydro Electric Central Labour Union president Abdul Latif Nizamani has said that 80 per cent accidents involving on-duty Wapda employees occur due to their own faults and to avoid them, they should not work without required instruments.
He was speaking here at a seminar which was organized by the local branch of Hesco to mark the Labour Safety Day.
Mr Nizamani said that help would be provided to those employee who were disabled in accidents and other problems of Wapda employees would also be solved through negotiations with the management.
Hesco superintending engineer Habibullah Khilji urged the employees to reduce line losses so that more facilities could be provided to them.
Hesco executive engineer Dilawar Hussain and others also spoke on the occasion.
DEMO: A large number of activists of the People's Party Parliamentarians, youth wing, took out a procession here, demanding the withdrawal of cases against Benazir Bhutto and her husband Asif Ali Zardari.
They marched on different roads of the town and held a demonstration outside the local press club.
