Three killed, five injured in clash

SANGHAR, June 1: Three persons, two of them brothers, were killed and five others were injured in an armed clash between two groups in Chakar Khan Bhangwar village in the jurisdiction of the Sarhari police station, about 87 km from here on Friday.

The two brothers, Ameer Ali and Imam Ali, took their cattle for grazing in their fields. Some of their animals entered the fields of Illahi Buksh Bhangwar which resulted in exchange of hot words and later the clash as armed men from both the sides reached there and started firing.

Ameer Ali, Imam Ali and Illahi Buksh were killed while Mohammad Qasim, Saeed Khan, Tanveer Ahmed, Niaz Hussain and Hashim were injured.

Injured Saeed Khan is in serious condition and shifted to Nawabshah hospital.

The Sarhari police arrested Hashim, Qasim, Saeed Khan, Dadan, Niaz Ahmed and Allah Buksh Bhangwar and registered cases against both the parties.

Armed supporters of both the groups have taken positions which has created panic in the area. The police also intensified patrolling to avert any further clash.
