KARACHI, Feb 21: A Pakistan People's Party activist, Dhani Bukhsh, who had torched himself to protest against implication of Benazir Bhutto and Asif Ali Zardari in different cases, died here on Saturday morning.

The 48-year-old political activist had burnt himself in front of the Shikarpur police station in January after his demand for withdrawal of cases against Benazir Bhutto and her husband was not met.

After Dhani Bukhsh had burnt himself Ms Bhutto had issued directives to workers not to burn themselves as their services would be required in the struggle for democracy.
