QUETTA, Feb 14: Additional Session Judge Quetta Jan Mohammad Gohar has granted stay order against the selection of cricket players from Balochistan for the Quaid-i-Azam trophy till Feb 16.

The representatives of the Cricketers Association of Balochistan including Abdur Rehman have filed petition in the court praying to grant interim stay order against the selection of cricket players from Balochistan.

The applicants have taken the plea that the players who had given superb performance for the province in different games have been neglected and now new players were selected on the basis of favouritism and submitted to direct the selection committee to include the deserving players for the Quaid-i-Azam trophy.

Earlier Civil Judge II Quetta Syed Qadir Shah Bukhari withdrawn the stay order on the application of Pakistan Cricket Board coach Raja Anis and allowed the team to participate in the tournament in Karachi from Feb 15.However, the civil court had stopped the controversial players Arun Lal, Mohammad Taqi, Badar Ali, Mohammad Qasim Shuja Khan and Zahoor Ahmed to play in the tournament.
