KARACHI, April 25: Punjab claimed the National baseball championship beating NWFP 13-2 in the final, says a news release on Monday. Punjab won the nine-innings final on better lead, while Sindh defeated Islamabad 5-4 to make to the third spot.

Javed Yousuf Qamar, vice-president Pakistan Baseball Federation distributed prizes. Muhammad Naeem was declared the best pitcher while Shabbir Junjua got the best runner’s award and Maboob Alam was awarded “Cap of the day”.—APP
