ISLAMABAD, April 25: The Central Depository Company has announced that the launch of its re-engineered version of its existing Central Depository System (CDS), termed eCDS, on April 25 has been postponed due to some technical reasons.

According to a CDC press release issued here on Monday, the new system was designed to offer the benefits of improved maintainability, better application response time and enhanced data security.

“The Central Depository Company’s commitment to deliver a robust system to facilitate its customers is of paramount importance and the system would be available to its customers shortly,” said a CDC spokesperson.—APP
