SUKKUR, April 23: The Anti-Terrorism Court-II, Sukkur and Larkana bench, here on Saturday sentenced five people to two times life imprisonment and fined them Rs150,000 each for killing a police constable and injuring three others. The fine amount will be paid to the injured policemen.

The convicts were identified Mohammad Ramzan alias Bijli, his brother, Dadu, Ghulam Yasin, Bakhshan and Iqbal Ahmad.

They had killed police constable Ghulam Mustafa and injured TPO Rana Sanaullah and constables Mohammad Saleem and Irshad Ahmad in an encounter following a robbery bid on the National Highway in the Ubauro police station jurisdiction, Ghotki, on Dec 12, 2004.

MILK PLANT: The Engro Chemical will establish a milk procurement plant in Sindh which will supply milk throughout the country.

Company’s public relations manager Dr Aamir Azeem Daudpoto, administration manager Inamullah Naveed and public relations officer Fawad Soomro disclosed this at a press conference in Daharki on Saturday.

They said only local people would be employed in the plant. They said loan would also be advanced to area people for purchase of buffaloes.
