QUETTA, April 6: A BHC division bench has ordered release of Ali Ahmed Lango, saying that there is no justification the MPO issued by the home secretary. The bench comprising Chief Justice Raja Fayyaz Ahmed and Justice Akhtar Zaman Malghani on Wednesday took serious notice of the detention order issued by the home secretary and directed that the officer concerned should act within the specified parameters and in accordance with the law.

The petitioner was arrested by the police and when the detention was challenged in the high court the police presented home secretary’s detention order under MPO but the court was not satisfied and ordered his release.
