SUKKUR, April 3: About 200 people took out a protest procession against police and the district nazim and staged sit-ins outside the Ghotki police station and the nazim’s office on Sunday.

They were protesting against police for raiding the Jeevan Kolachi village and arresting 13 people without any reason. They alleged that District Nazim Ali Gohar Khan Mahar was behind the raid.

Later, the Ghotki DSP negotiated with the protestors and the nazim.

The protestors dispersed after the arrested people were released.—Correspondent
