SADIQABAD, April 1: A record production of 1.85 million cotton bales has been registered in the Rahim Yar Khan district. The Rahim Yar Khan EDO told APP that the current produce was 805,000 more bales as compared to last year’s production. He said the main reason behind the success was that growers were given timely guidance by the agriculture department, which was keenly imbibed and acted upon by farmers. The EDO said the cotton was cultivated on 799,000 acres of land as against a target of 788,590 acres which resulted in a good quality of contamination free cotton.—APP
