KARACHI, April 1: The city chief of the Jamaat-i-Islami, Dr Mairajul Huda Siddiqui, was arrested at the party’s head office late on Friday night.

A JI spokesman said Dr Siddiqui was at Idra Noor-i-Haq attending some party affairs when the police went there and took him into custody. However, no senior police official was available to confirm the arrest.
