LAHORE, March 31: Trainer Khadim Hussain, who recently stopped working ing for a couple of months, is now back on track and resumed training race-horses with renewed vigour and determination to succeed.
So what makes Khadim Hussain tick is that he is keen to bag the trainers’ championship a couple of times, before he calls it a day.
Khadim,who is ranked among the top trainers in Lahore told Dawn that he had completed thirty years as a trainer. He joined the ranks of trainers in 1975, after hanging up his saddle as a jockey, after twenty long years of riding.
His career as a jockey and as a trainer, includes successes in every classic and semi-classic race at Karachi and Lahore Racecourses and the Pakistan Derby twice as jockey and once as a trainer.
Even after 50 years of riding and training Khadim shows little sign of wear and tear.
He said recently he underwent a complete medical check-up and when got a clear chit, he resumed training hoping to get succeed as best as possible.
