ISLAMABAD, March 31: People?s Party Parliamentarians (PPP) has protested against the postponement of interviews for the selection of teachers in Nawabshah and asked the authorities to immediately rescind the interview cancellation notification. The Sindh government had appointed a six-member committee, headed by the executive district officer, for each district to interview the candidates who had passed written tests for the posts of primary, junior and high school teachers.

According to schedule, interviews of over 7,000 candidates for primary teachers in Nawabshah were to be held from March 26 to May 17. However, as soon as the interviews were to start the call letters were withdrawn and the process suspended. The EDO, who was head of the interview committee, was transferred and two other members of the committee were changed to provide an alibi for the cancellation of the interview.?Staff Reporter
