PPP planning warm welcome for Zardari

ISLAMABAD, March 28: Alliance for Restoration of Democracy (ARD) Punjab Joint Secretary Agha Riazul Islam has said a warm welcome will be given to PPP leader Asif Ali Zardari who is scheduled to arrive in Lahore on April 16. Speaking at a press conference here on Monday, the ARD leader said PPP workers from Rawalpindi and surrounding areas would lead processions to Lahore to welcome Mr Zardari. He said under the present setup, a specific group working for vested interests was playing with the country’s future. This group is against the efforts of the two popular political parties to pull the country out of the crisis, he added.
