SUKKUR, May 30: The judge of Anti Terrorism court-II, Sukkur, has convicted Bakshan Otho of killing an Excise inspector Sultan Ahmed Shaikh injuring constable Latif Dino.
He has awarded him death penalty and also ordered him to pay Rs100,00 compensation to the heirs of the deceased.
In case of default in payment of compensation, the convict would have to suffer rigorous imprisonment of one year.
The court has also convicted the absconder Dhani Bux Shaikh in the same case and sentenced him to life imprisonment and payment of Rs100,000 compensation to the heir of the deceased.

UPLIFT SCHEMES: An amount of Rs29.4 million has been allocated by the Sindh Government for the on-going development schemes in Sukkur district.
According to breakup, Rs 700,000 has been allocated for establishing a pesticides laboratory in Rohri, Rs13.5 million for tree plantation, Rs7 million for expansion of forests, Rs5 million for construction of primary schools in urban areas, Rs1 million for upgradation of primary and middle schools in rural areas, Rs1.2 million for upgradation of boys/girls middle and high schools in urban areas.
