KARACHI, March 22: Four ships carrying steel coils, general cargo and containers are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was fairly brisk where seven ships were berthed. They are: Floriana, Ibn Bassam to unload steel coils and billets, Nile, to offload coal, Tawe, to offload raw sugar, Hoizon-9, to load cement, Wilmington, to offload crude oil and Nur Yanbu, to unload chemicals.

Sailing was also active as seven ships departed including Danoa Parta, Nefeli-1, Cape-B, Avalon, Falcon Trident, Lalazar and Shalamar, while Hanseduo, Ibn Bassam, Nur Yanbu, Wilmington, Kota Teguh and Anna-L are due to depart on Wednesday.

Cagro handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where a total tonnage of 99,306 tons comprising 6,766 tons of export cargo including 3,262 tons of rice and 92,540 tons of import cargo was handled.

The following ships are due on Wednesday: African Leopard, with steel coils, Hyundai Sprinter, Lykes Racer, with containers and Thor Mariner, with general cargo. The following are due on Thursday: Sunniva, to load 8,000 tons of ehanol, Kenwood Park, and Chembulk Fortitude, to load 6,600 and 13,000 tons of molasses, Iran Piroozi, Thor Captain, and Wester Muehlen, with containers.
