SADIQABAD, May 29: Scores of houses were inundated on Wednesday when a 40-foot breach occurred in Sanghi minor near Rukanpur.

Reports said the irrigation department officials released water in the canal to make up for the shortage of irrigation water. During water release, a breach appeared in the canal, causing water to awash in the locality.

However, the irrigation officials controlled the situation after sometime.
