PESHAWAR, Feb 11: The tribal electric supply company (Tesco) will soon launch a campaign to disconnect connections of defaulters and of those who have taken double connections in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas.
A meeting presided over by Tesco Chief Executive Hidayatullah Kundi on Friday discussed implementation of NWFP Governor Syed Iftikhar Hussain Shah's instructions regarding action against defaulters belonging to Fata.
The Tesco chief directed the managers and deputy managers to work out plans for disconnecting power supply to the defaulting industrial, commercial, tube-well and domestic consumers having independent transformers.
According to a press release, the officials were asked to chalk out their plans separately for carrying out a forceful campaign against defaulters in collaboration with the political administration. The Tesco chief said action should also be taken against the consumers who had taken connections from more than one source.
