PESHAWAR, Jan 27: Calendars produced through an eco-friendly process, on recycled paper, portraying culture, arts and historical places of Japan, were put on display here on Thursday.

The two-day calendars' exhibition jointly organized by the Embassy of Japan, the Pakistan-Japan Cultural Association, NWFP, and the Monbukagakushu Alumni Association of Pakistan was inaugurated by Provincial Information and Public Relations Minister Asif Iqbal Daudzai.

The embassy's Press, Information and Culture Director Hisao Nishimaki said more than 100 calendars had been put on display. "The non-conventional nature of the source does not affect the quality of the paper and printing," he said. The calendars displayed will be later distributed among visitors.
