NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, Jan 5: Teachers for commerce subjects are not available in the Government Degree College, because of which, the principal has advised students to either change their group or get transfer certificate for pursuing their studies at some other college.

This was said by a group of first, second, third and fourth year commerce students, led by Azmat Jatoi, Wajid Channa, Majid Mughal, Ameet Kandhar and Sumy Oad, while talking to journalist here on Wednesday.

They said that no one was available to teach them commerce subjects - banking and finance, introduction of business, and principles of commerce - and added that economics and Urdu teachers had taken leave for three and two months respectively, whereas a lecturer of accounting had been transferred to Karachi.

Students of BCom said that since they had been studying without teachers for the last three to four years, they felt unconfident regarding their education and insecure about their future.

When contacted, the college principal, Khan Mohammad Larik, admitted to the non-availability of commerce teachers, and said that he had intimated the situation to the DO (colleges), EDO (education) as well as the DCO.

When contacted, DCO Nazar Mohammad Kalhoro said he was not approached by the college principal, and therefore, unaware of the shortage of lecturers at the college.
