SHIKARPUR, Dec 6: Sindh Minister for Revenue and Political Affairs Imtiaz Shaikh has condemned the kidnapping of two judges and three Hindu youths in Shikarpur district. He was speaking at a press conference here on Monday evening.
He said he would approach chiefs of various tribes and local influential people to seek their help. Earlier, Mr Shaikh met the sessions judge Shikarpur, Ghulam Ali Samtio, and members of the District Bar Association at the sessions court and also visited Samadhi Ashram temple.
He assured the sessions judge, lawyers and families of the Hindu youths that efforts would be made to recover the kidnapped people.
MIRPURKHAS: Lawyers boycotted courts on Monday in protest against the kidnapping of two additional session judges of Shikarpur. They were led by the president of the Mirpurkhas District Bar Association, Ali Hassan Chandio advocate.
Black flag was hoisted on the office of bar and lawyers wore black armbands, demanding immediate release of kidnapped judges. Speaking on the occasion, bar office-bearers condemned kidnapping of the two additional session judges.
They held the government was responsible for kidnapping of judges and demanded their immediate release failing which the protest campaign would be launched across Sindh.
NAUSHAHRO FEROZE: Lawyers boycotted court proceedings in Naushahro Feroze, Moro and Kandiaro on Monday to protest against kidnapping of two judges in Shikarpur. The lawyers announced that they would continue the boycott of the court proceedings on Tuesday.
