KARACHI, Nov 26: President of the Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) Junaid I. Khan has directed the company's officers to meet the target of installing new telephone connections.
He also impressed upon them to improve the company's service in order to increase its customer base.
He issued the directives while presiding over a high-level meeting at the PTCL headquarters here on Thursday. Reviewing the performance of the PTCL's Sindh and Balochistan regions, he asked the officers to provide better and improved services to customers so that the company could compete with its future competitors.
Senior Executive Vice President (IT) Mr Ameeruddin, Executive Vice President (Operations) South Mr Rehmatullah, Chief Engineer (M&O) Mr Zafar Marwat, General Managers Muzaffar Ali, Akhtar Jameel, Z. A. Tunio and Saeed Ahmed, zonal directors and concerned divisional engineers were among those who attended the meeting.
The PTCL chief emphasized the need for adopting customer-friendly measures which, he said, would help retain and increase subscribers. The meeting also discussed the issues pertaining to revenue target, provision of WLL lines in dry area and preventive maintenance programme for Karachi.
He stressed continued network renovation work in different plazas in the city, as was being done at the Rainbow Centre, to provide better service to valued customers. -APP
