CM, Bhatti brothers 'end' differences

HAFIZABAD, Nov 24: Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi and Bhatti brothers ironed out their differences during a meeting at the CM Secretariat, Lahore on Tuesday evening.

The meeting was held in a cordial atmosphere on the invitation of the chief minister. Differences between the CM and MNAs Chaudhry Mehdi Hassan Bhatti and Liaquat Abbas Bhatti had developed over Dubbar village case.

Mr Elahi assured them that development funds for which a directive had already been issued would be made available soon. He also ordered action against cattle lifters in the area.

"We should bury the hatchet and make all-out efforts to reorganize the party," the chief minister said and added that nominations of office-bearers in the district would be announced shortly.

UPLIFT FUNDS: A sum of Rs15 million has been allocated for the completion of 13 development schemes. This was revealed in a meeting of the district development committee with District Coordination Officer Syed Iftikhar Hussain Shah in the chair here on Tuesday. A chunk of the amount would also be spent on the carpeting and widening of Khankah Dogar motorway interchange.
