The district peace committee expressed grave concern and strongly condemned the mosque blast tragedy. It also urged the Shia community to remain peaceful and bear this tragedy with fortitude. It also stressed the need of adopting solid steps for averting threats of terrorism.
Speaking on the occasion, the district Nazim said that ulema could play their role in maintaining peace. He urged the ulema to promote religious and sectarian harmony.
Addressing the DPC, the Shia leaders including Allama Faiz Karpalvi, Maulana Gulfam Hashmi, Syed Saqlain Raza and Maulana Mumtaz Shah said that the attack was carried out by a suicidal bomber.
