PESHAWAR, Oct 1: The Pakistan Railway has agreed to effect a 45-minute reduction in the travelling time of a railcar between Kohat and Rawalpindi.
At present, the railcar takes three to four hours to reach its destination. The decision is expected to be formally implemented by Nov 17.
This was stated by Pakistan Railway general manager (operations) Mohammad Aurangzeb Khan during a meeting with NWFP Governor Syed Iftikhar Hussain Shah here on Friday.
Mr Khan informed the governor that the Pakistan Railway was also looking into the possibility of attaching a certain number of bogies of the Kohat-Rawalpindi Railcar with the Lahore- and Karachi-bound Awam Express which would facilitate travelling to and from Kohat.
