QUETTA, Sept 28: Balochistan Minister for Sports Younus Changezi slammed Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for not allocating a Tri-nation match to Quetta despite commitment.
"It is disappointing that sports lovers of Balochistan have been deprived of international cricket for the past many years," he said while speaking at a dinner reception hosted in honour of Pakistan and India hockey teams on Monday.
"It is a great honour for us that we smoothly and successfully conducted the historic hockey match," Changezi said. He said PCB had committed that they would allocate Pakistan-Zimbabwe one-day match in tri-series to Quetta but they failed to ful fill their commitment.
Changezi said Quetta now got an international standard Bugti Stadium which have all the modern facilities to stage international matches besides a good hotel to accommodate teams. He said Quetta deserves more international events to popularize the sports in this part of the country. -APP
