ISLAMABAD, Sept 27: Chief Election Commissioner Irshad Hasan Khan on Monday sought reports within three days from the Sindh chief minister and the district returning officer and returning officer of NA-229, Tharparkar-I, on the complaint of Senator Raza Rabbani about change of some polling stations in the constituency.

An announcement by the Election Commission said Mr Rabbani had telephoned the CEC on Sept 20 and stated that the People's Party Parliamentarians had grievances in connection with the change of polling stations for the forthcoming by-elections in NA-229. He had sought a meeting of a PPP delegation with the CEC.

The CEC had invited Senator Rabbani and Sindh PPP President Syed Qaim Ali Shah to meet him with their delegation on Sept 28 or 29 but they requested that the meeting be held on some other date, it said.
