AHMEDABAD, Sept 19: Five people were injured in Gujarat when duelling processions triggered fresh violence between Hindus and Muslims, police said Sunday.

Police said Muslims heading to a funeral asked Hindus to turn the volume of music being played for a religious festival down late Saturday in the city of Vadodara.

The Hindus refused and the two sides threw rocks at one another and five people were hurt. -AFP
