PESHAWAR, Sept 16: A senior clerk and a constable of the Frontier Reserve Police (FRP) were dismissed from their services on charges of corruption, misappropriation of funds and bringing bad name to the police force , said a press release issued here on Thursday.

It said that the police authorities were continuously receiving complaints against senior clerk Mohammad Aslam and constable Fawad Ali Shah, on which inquiries were conducted against them.

Mohammad Aslam while posted as senior clerk in FRP head quarters had allegedly committed fraud and irregularities. A departmental inquiry was ordered against him. In the inquiry report, senior clerk Mohammad Aslam was found guilty of corruption and large scale irregularities. During the course of inquiry, Mohammad Aslam admitted that he had withdrawn thousands of rupees on account of TA bills of various police officials.

Likewise, constable Fawad Ali Shah was accused of blackmailing and teasing ladies police constables on phone calls. Moreover, he was also charged of publishing defamatory items against the department as well as officials in different newspapers.

He was served with show-cause notice and was heard in person by the inquiry committee. But he failed to prove his innocence. The deputy commandant of FRP dismissed the two policemen from their services with immediate effect.
