KARACHI, Aug 18: An unknown pedestrian died in a road accident in PIB Colony on Wednesday. Police said that victim was crossing a main road when a bus of route 52-A knocked him down. The injured was taken to the Civil Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Police said the errant driver escaped from the spot following the accident. An unidentified man was killed in a road accident on Hawksbay Road late Tuesday night. Police said a retarded person in his 60s was seriously injured when he was hit by a dumper truck. He was rushed to the Civil Hospital where he died during treatment. The driver, identified as Mairaj, was arrested by the police.

BODY: A decomposed body was recovered from sea in the limits of Jackson police station on Wednesday. Police said that the body was fished out from sea.

DIES: A young housewife died of burn wounds here on Wednesday. Police said Fatima, 21, had suffered wounds in her house in Baghdadi area Tuesday night. She was taken to Civil Hospital for treatment where she died during treatment.
