Independence Day awards for PAF officers

ISLAMABAD, Aug 16: The President has conferred military awards to 49 officers and JCOs of Pakistan Air Force on the occasion of 57th independence day. According to a PAF release, the awards included 2 Hilal-i-Imtiaz (Military), 10 Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military), 9 Tamgha-i-Imtiaz(Military) and 2 Tamgha-i-Basalat.

The following are the names of the award-winning officers:

HILAL-I-IMTIAZ (MILITARY): AVM Khalid Chaudhry, AVM Abdus Sami Toor.

SITARA-I-IMTIAZ (MILITARY): Air Commodore Syed Muzaffar Ali, Air Commodore Faisal Tariq, Air Commodore Muhammad Kaiser Tufail, Air Commodore Salman Absar, Air Commodore Saeed Ahmed Shah, Group Captain Muhammad Ashfaq, Group Captain Nayyar Jaffar Raza Naqvi, Group Captain Mehboob-ul-Hassan, Group Captain Muhammad Tariq, Group Captain Muhammad Naseer

TAMGHA-I-IMTIAZ (MILITARY): Wing Commander Asim Anwar, Wing Commander Shahid Akhtar, Wing Commander Imran Khalid, Wing Commander Riaz Ahmed, Wing Commander Tariq Qamar Yazdanie, Wing Commander Ali Nadeem, Wing Commander Ilyas Mamoon Kundi, Wing Commander Faheem Arshad Lodhi, Wing Commander Abdul Nasir Khan,

WEBSITE LAUNCHED: Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Kaleem Saadat on Saturday launched the Pakistan Air Force website, says a press release. The website provides information about the history, commercial and educational institutions opportunities and other activities of the air force.

The core contents of the website include the description of career opportunities, training facilities and life in the PAF. The visitors can find information about the PAF selection centres, schools and colleges in addition to tenders and work services requirements of the PAF, the release said. At present, the website would be accessible within Pakistan, it added. -APP
