SARGODHA, Aug 2: Former MNA Ahmed Ziaur Rehman Luk along with his driver Muhammad Younus was remanded in judicial custody by a local court on Monday.
The Cantonment police had booked the former MNA on Sunday for keeping liquor and 120 cartridges in his car.
It was learnt that the former MNA had moved his bail application, but the magistrate rejected his bail. Meanwhile, a close relative of Mr Luk said that a fake case was registered on the instigation of an official and claimed that the former MNA was innocent.
Police sources said the ex-MNA was under the influence and was making hue and cry near the DCO residence. He said a police party rushed to the spot, frisked the vehicle and recovered from it five bottles of liquor and 120 bullets. They said the police also found him drunk.
