GAZA, July 29: Israel helicopter gunships killed a Palestinian militant leader and one of his gunmen in a missile strike on a car in the southern Gaza Strip on Thursday.

The strike targeted Amr Abu Sitta, 30, identified by residents as head of the Abu al-Rish Brigades, a faction behind numerous anti-Israel attacks and which briefly took four French aid workers hostage during a recent wave of unrest. -Reuters
