MIRAMSHAH, July 26: Three members of a family were killed when a bomb exploded in their house in the Shahzad Kot area here on Monday. The victims included wife, son and daughter of Ayub. However, their names could not be ascertained.

Sources said that Ayub's son had brought the bomb to his home under the impression that it had been defused. However, when he tried to break open the bomb with a tool it exploded with a big bang, killing the boy along with his mother and sister.

Sources said that the bomb had been brought from Afghanistan for sale as scrap in the local market.
