HYDERABAD, May 22: Hyderabad City Taluka Naib Nazim Abdul Qadeer Naghar has expressed concern over the disconnection of power supply to streetlight installations by the Hesco.

In a statement issued here on Tuesday, he warned that this could create law and order problem in the city and demanded of the chief executive of the Hesco to restore power supply to the streetlight system without delay.

CLASSES: The provincial coordinator, Bureau of Curriculum, Dr Mehboob Ali Shaikh, announced here on Wednesday that 9th and 10th classes would be started in 12 elementary schools which were under the control of the Bureau during the 2002 session.

He further disclosed that with the cooperation of the British Council, a scheme had also been prepared to start classes of “O” and “A” levels.

SU EXAMS: The controller of examinations (semester), University of Sindh, Jamshoro, announced here on Tuesday that examinations of the students, who had failed earlier, of B.Ed/M.Ed/M.A education (2000 session) would be conducted on June 10 at the faculty of education, Elsa Kazi campus, Hyderabad.

Last date for the submission of examination forms has been fixed at May 28.

ADMISSIONS: The director admissions, University of Sindh, announced here on Tuesday that the students, already on rolls in the Institute of Information Technology and Institute of Mathematics and Computer Science, were required to fill their application forms for admissions under economical self-finance scheme (evening programme) and deposit the prescribed fee of next higher classes, viz BCIT and BCS (Hons) part-II, for the academic year of 2002.

Last date for the submission of admission forms, available at the Habib Bank Limited, Jamshoro, and fee has been fixed at May 26.

The director further announced that if any student failed to deposit fee within due date, his/her name would be struck off from the university rolls.
