Pakistanis abducted by Afghan troops

QUETTA, July 12: Afghan border security forces have abducted four levies staff across the border on Sunday at Brabchah of Chagai district adjacent to Pakistan-Afghan border.

According to Chagai DCO Qamar Masood, the incident occured due to a misunderstanding about delimitation of the area between both the states. After contacting the Afghan authorities the Pakistani officials expressed the hope that the abducted persons would be freed by Tuesday.

Giving details of the incident Mr Masood said that some tribesmen had started construction of houses in the Brabchah town but the Tehsildar Dalbandin had stopped the work, as it was the state land but on the other day Afghan border security guards took four levies men claiming that the construction work was carried out on Afghan territory.

The men under Afghan custody were identified as Inyatullah, Shah Zaman, Habib and Abdur Rashid.
