LAHORE, July 11: PPP's Dr Sikandar Hayat will contest the August 18 by-election on NA-59 (Attock) as ARD candidate, alliance sources said here on Sunday.

Finance Minister Shaukat Aziz is also a candidate on NA-59 (Attock).

The PML-N has agreed to withdraw its candidate for the seat. The sources said that top PPP and PML-N leaders met in Islamabad before they reached a consensus.
