HYDERABAD, July 9: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Hyderabad, here on Friday announced results of the higher secondary certificate part-I and II (class-XI and XII) annual examinations 2004 of the commerce group.

In the part-II examination, among boys, Faisal, son of Faique Jamali, of the Government Sachal Sarmast College, Nawabshah, was declared first with 780 marks while Ammad Ali, son of Ismail Memon, of the Government Sachal Sarmast Commerce College, Hyderabad, and Reejho Mal, son of Pakar Lal Menghwar, of the Government New Aligarh College, Tando Adam, secured the second and the third position with 770 and 755 marks, respectively.

Among girls, Tayabba, daughter of Anwar Memon, of the Government Sachal Sarmast College, Hyderabad, secured the first position by obtaining 804 marks. Quratul Ain, daughter of Ashiq Ali Khoja, of the Government Girls College, Hyderabad, and Bakhtawar, daughter of Allah Bachayo Mahar, of the Government College, Tando Jan Mohammad, shared the second position with 795 marks while Urooj, daughter of Ghulam Hussain Baloch, of the Government Girls College, Hyderabad, stood third with 785 marks.

A total 1,315 candidates appeared in the examination out of which 1,159 passed while the result of seven students had been withheld. The percentage of the successful candidates is 88.33 per cent.

PART-I: In the part-I (class-XI) examination a total 1,180 candidates appeared in the examination out of which 526 candidates passed all the subjects.

The result of 39 candidates had been withheld by the conduct branch of the board. Meanwhile, the controller of examination of the board advised all principals of colleges affiliated to direct those candidates who were involved in copying cases during HSC part-I and II annual examination 2004 to appear before the disciplinary action sub-committee at the office of controller of examination, BISE Hyderabad.

The candidates of HSC part-II, pre-medical and pre- engineering groups should appear before the DASC on July 20-21 at 10am while candidates of the HSC part-II humanities and commerce groups should appear on July 22 at the same time. He warned that non-appearance of candidates before the DASC on given dates would make them liable for ex-parte decision.
