Two Rangers personnel die in ambush

MULTAN, July 5: Two officials of the rangers were killed when a contingent of the paramilitary force was attacked near Punjab-Balochistan border in Rajanpur district on Monday.

The sources said that the assailants, who belonged to the neighbouring Balochistan, used heavy gunfire followed by the shelling of rocket-propelled grenades.

Officials said that the attackers fled after the paramilitary force retaliated.
