MUZAFFARABAD, May 27: The Azad Jammu and Kashmir High Court on Wednesday granted bail before arrest to AJK Legislative Assembly Speaker's son Shahzad Khalid against whom the Ehtesab Bureau was stated to be proceeding shortly.

Seeking pre-arrest bail through his lawyer, Mr Shahzad contended that the Ehtesab Bureau had mala fide intentions against him and could arrest him under "flimsy charges."

The court, comprising Chief Justice Syed Manzoor Hussain Gillani, granted the bail till next Tuesday and directed the bureau not to arrest him till then. The CJ directed the bureau to produce relevant record before the court on the same day.
