'Afghan polls to be held as scheduled'

ISLAMABAD, May 26: The spokesman for Afghan president has said that general elections in Afghanistan would be held according to the schedule in September. According to Voice of America, he said that enemies of peace want to disturb election preparations in the country.

He said that Afghan people would participate in the elections because they want democracy, peace and prosperity in the country. They want election to elect their representatives. -APP
