KARACHI, May 24: The Pakistan People's Party MPA, Syed Murad Ali Shah, has submitted to the secretary of the Sindh Assembly, The Sindh Homeless Children (Care and Protection) Bill-2004 , which seeks legislation regarding care and protection of homeless children and to provide for prosecution of individuals and organizations, who subject children to cruelty, force them to beg, supply them with drugs or exploit child employees.

MPA Shazia Marri has submitted "The Sindh Protection from Domestic Violence Bill-2004," aimed at checking abuse against women in the society. The bill acknowledges domestic violence as a human rights issue and terms it serious deterrent to development. -PPI
