ISLAMABAD, May 10: Foreign Secretary Riaz Khokhar is to start an official visit to Norway, Denmark and Sweden on Tuesday for talks on boosting relations with the Scandinavian countries, the Foreign Ministry said.

Mr Khokhar will hold talks with his counterparts in the three countries, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Masood Khan told reporters on Monday. During his four-day tour, the foreign secretary will discuss economic cooperation and brief officials on Pakistan-India relations, the situation in Afghanistan and Iraq, the Middle East peace process, counter-terrorism issues and nuclear non-proliferation, Khan said.

"The emphasis of the visit will be to discuss ways and means to add more substance to the existing friendly relations" between Pakistan and the Scandinavian countries, he added. -AFP
