QUETTA: Quetta Nazim warned

QUETTA, April 22: Chief Minister Jam Mir Mohammad Yousuf has warned Quetta City District Nazim that he would face legal action if he violated the decision of the cabinet regarding ban on all kind of processions and illegal use of Section 144.

"The Nazim could be arrested and sent to jail if he continued use of Section 144 illegally for taking out his own procession against the government," he categorically announced while talking to newsmen in his chamber after the Assembly session, here on Thursday.

He said that the writ of the government would be strictly maintained at any cost and illegal religious and political processions would not be allowed in Quetta and other parts of the province.

"Nobody is above the law and we will not allow anybody to take law into his own hands," Jam Yousuf remarked, adding that if nazims have some problems they should approach the proper forum, including the president, prime minister, governor and chief minister for there resolution.

Chief Minister Jam Yousuf said that the government was ready to resolve their genuine problems through negotiations, but would not tolerate the attitude adopted by the nazims of Quetta on the behest of some political elements.
