PESHAWAR, May 19: Foreign Office Director-General Omar Khan Alisherzai has been appointed as Pakistan’s consul-general at its consulate in Kandahar.

Official sources informed Dawn on Saturday that the government had directed the consul-general designate to assume his charge in Kandahar within the next two days.
