LONDON, March 28: Two British citizens died on Sunday in a drive-by shooting in the northern Iraqi city of Mosul, BBC news said in a report citing local police.

Other media reports cited witnesses who said they saw the bodies of two foreigners lying next to a vehicle in flames.

The vehicle was believed to be transporting four or five Britons, and it was reported the others had managed to reach safety. A Foreign Office spokesman in London was unable to confirm the report. -dpa
