LONDON, March 21: Pakistan's contribution towards the global war on terror is significant and can be gauged by the capture of more than 100 suspected terrorists during the ongoing operation in South Waziristan that also shows the country's determination to stamp out this threat, says Pakistan's High Commissioner to the UK Dr Maleeha Lodhi.
Reminding about the arrest of 500 terrorists since the beginning of the war on terror, Dr Maleeha told BBC on Sunday the government was trying to ascertain their identities, adding they were without identification documents.
She was speaking at the BBC programme 'Breakfast with David Frost. Referring to the operation in South Waziristan, she said such operations had been underway for the past three years, adding that the ongoing operation was preceded by actions taken by the government during the past year. -APP
