ISLAMABAD, Feb 27: Pakistan strongly condemned on Friday the attack on Al Aqsa Mosque by the Israeli police and termed it a clear "act of desecration".

In a statement issued here a Foreign Office spokesman said: "Al Aqsa Mosque is a sacred site for Muslims around the world.

The attack on it has deeply hurt the feelings and sensitivities of the Muslims of Pakistan." -APP
